Indonesia Hidden City
Scientists made a shocking discovery near Indonesia. They found an ancient hidden city in the Madura Strait, between the islands of Java and Madura. It is believed that this city is about 1,40,000 years old. In this discovery, the most precious thing they have found is a human skull which belongs to an ancient human species named ‘Homo erectus’.
With this skull, scientists have found bones of more than 6,000 animals. These include bones from animals such as the komodo dragon, buffalo, deer, and elephant.
There were many cuts on these bones, which proves that humans of that time hunted animals and used tools to cut meat. This means that they were not just surviving but also making plans thoughtfully. This indicates that they were intelligent.
These skulls and bones were buried under a thick layer of sand and mortar, which has protected them for thousands of years. These bones were first discovered in 2011 by workers mining sea sand. At that time, they were extracting the sand from the sea surface. When they saw some strange bones, and later on, scientists did research on these bones and found out how old these bones are and how important they are.
This area was earlier a part of a large landmass called ‘Sundaland’. Before the last thousand years, Sundaland was on the surface and it connected large parts of Southeast Asia. But when the glacier started melting down after the last ice age, the sea level rose and Sundaland slowly submerged. This process happened between 14,000 and 7,000 years ago.
When scientists did more deeply research on this place, they found an old river system under the sea. This river was part of the ancient ‘solo river’, which used to flow from the Sundaland. This area at that time had a rich river system, where humans and animals could live peacefully and could find food to eat.
This discovery is considered very important because it’s giving us an opportunity to know how our ancestors used to live, how they used to hunt, and how they adapted themselves according to natural changes. Moreover, it also proves that human life existed in Southeast Asia long ago. It is very rare to find so many fossils together, and this also helps us to know what life was like thousands of years ago.
These bones and fossils open a door for the world that has been lost. Even though Sundaland is buried under the sea, But its secrets are slowly being revealed. These discoveries helped us to know better our ancestors’ lifestyle and how much the world has changed over time.
I believe this discovery is more than just history – it’s a window into the lost world. It amazes me how early humans survived, hunted, and lived with intelligence.
According to me, these discoveries tell us how little we know about the past hidden under the sea.
